The People of Redeemer House
In Uganda there is a saying... "It takes a village to raise a child." Meet the village that makes day to day operations at Redeemer House possible...

Kathy Vaughan
Founder of Redeemer House
I am a child of God, redeemed by Jesus, desiring to walk worthy and bring honor and glory to His name. My kids and grandkids are the joy of my life. I currently work as a nurse in America, but my passion is to help the hurting people of Africa, especially the children, and to tell them of Jesus who loves them. I am the director of an orphanage in Busiga, Uganda, and hope to live there soon. My Christian brothers and sisters in Africa bless me and challenge me to dance through life in the joy of the Lord.

Mercy
Cook, Housekeeper
Mercy helps with the cooking and cleaning at Redeemer House, making sure the children and helpers are all well-fed and clean. Thanks to the support of donors, Mercy now has a room to stay in at Redeemer House.

Mama Miracle
Gardener, Helper
Mama Miracle is HIV positive. She lives in a house the size of a small American bedroom, which she shares with her 4 children and two others she cares for. Mama Miracle raises goats and works to tend the Redeemer House garden. She loves Kathy and the children, and helps out wherever she can.

Mulondo Patrick Dascher
Assistant
Although Patrick does not live at the Redeemer House, he can usually be found there during his spare time, helping the children with schoolwork, cooking meals, and assisting Kathy with Ugandan business. His joy is contagious, and the children adore him. Patrick hopes to someday be a missionary pilot.
