TAKE A STAND for HOPE this summer!
Host a lemonade stand in your neighborhood to benefit Hands of Hope Missions!
We are so excited you are taking a stand with us to raise money for The Redeemer House in Busiga, Uganda, Africa.
10 Tips to Having a Great Lemonade Stand!
10. Be Prepared- Lemonade, cups, ice, cooler, change for dollars, money box or bucket, table, umbrella, chairs, sunscreen, and a really happy smile
9. LOCATION! LOCATION! Choose a safe but high traffic area mom and dad approve of: church, nearby corner, park, ball game.
8. Be Weather Ready- Lemonade stands will do best on a hot day. Have mom or dad check the weather report when planning your stand.
7. Competition- You have the sweet, now who’s bringing the salty? Have a “business partner” set up shop across the street selling salty snacks that leave a customer needing a sip of cold lemonade.
6. Advertise Your Efforts- have mom or dad post on their favorite internet site or weblog, send out texts to everyone you know, get the word out there anyway you can think of to keep a steady pace of customers.
5. Signage- Kids make the best signs! Put your own handprint on a poster board and create a catchy slogan (or just steal ours)! Hang signs where they will stay sturdy and be seen by passersby. Then, TAKE A STAND FOR HOPE!
4. Product- Make a good cup o’lemonade and keep them coming back!
3. Have Your Testimony Ready- If you say you are donating to a cause, you need to know what that cause is and what your money is going to. Talk it over with mom and dad so you are prepared to field questions from your customers.
2. Heart Attitude- In addition to a smile, your customers will be drawn to your giving attitude. Remember that you don’t have to make $100 on a lemonade stand. God will be able to do amazing things with $5! Say a prayer and take a stand. God will surely bless your efforts.
1. Send in Your Donation- Once the lemonade stand is closed for the night, your mom or dad can visit this page of Hands of Hope’s website and make a donation to The Redeemer House. Don’t let time get the best of you. It’s easy to forget to send in your donation, so do it sooner rather than later.
